Analía Cecilia Canoba
Ms. Analía Cecilia Canoba is currently Head of Scientific and Technical Support at the Argentine Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ARN).
Ms. Canoba, a biochemist, graduated from Rosario National University and holds a post graduate degree in Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety since 1993.
She has worked at the regulatory branch of the Argentine Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) in the Division of Radiochemistry. Since 1995 she has been working in the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ARN), with specific radiation expertise on natural radiation (radon and NORM), quality assurance for analytical laboratories and radiological environmental impact assessments for nuclear and radiological facilities. She was also Head of the Environmental Monitoring Division.
Ms. Canoba has conducted many missions as Expert of the IAEA Project "Strengthening the National Infrastructure and Regulatory Framework for the Safe Management of Radioactive Waste in Latin American Member States".
She was accepted to become member of ICRP Committee 4 for the term 2013-2017. She has been a member of the Directive Commission of the Argentine Radioprotection Society since 2012.
Ms. Canoba has been a member of the Argentine delegation to UNSCEAR since its 58th session (2010).
