Dr. Lidia Vasconcellos de Sá
Dr. Lidia Vasconcellos De Sá is a senior researcher in the Medical Physics Division of the Institute of Radioprotection and Dosimetry (IRD) at the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN).
Dr. Vasconcellos De Sá holds a PhD degree (2010) in Nuclear Engineering and a Master of Sciences degree (1987) in Engineering from São Paolo University. She has experience in nuclear engineering, licensing and control of radioactive facilities, radioisotope applications in medicine mainly, nuclear medicine.
Dr. Vasconcellos De Sá is a member of CNEN Standards Advisory Committee and coordinator of the medical area in Lato Sensu Specialization Course IRD/IAEA. She participated at missions for the International Atomic Energy Agency as expert for nuclear medicine and for safety and security of radiation sources. She is involved in work for IEC standardizations in the medical radiological field.
Dr. Larsson coordinated the multinational European Commission-supported research projects FASSET and ERICA (both on environmental assessment and protection) 2000 - 2007 and he is past chair of Committee 5 (on environmental protection) and Main Commission member of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP). He is a member of the Commission on Safety Standards (IAEA).
Dr. Vasconcellos De Sá is a representative of Brazil for UNSCEAR for the 64th session (2017).
