Professor Dr. Seong Ho Na
Dr. Seong Ho Na joined the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS) in 1991, of which he recently became Vice President and Senior Adviser. He has been Visiting Professor at the University of Science and Technology since 2006.
After obtaining a Ph.D degree from the Texas A&M University, United States, he started his career as a health physicist. He also worked in the area of radiation waste safety including activities of regulatory authority. He is a specialist in radiation safety and security as well as in occupational radiation exposure.
From 1998 to 2002, Dr. Na was employed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as an occupational radiation protection specialist and actively involved in the activities of the Information System of Occupational Exposure (ISOE). In this capacity he was Vice Chairman and Bureau Member of ISOE. He joined various IAEA expert mission activities in the area of nuclear safety and radiation protection, after returning to KINS in 2002.
Dr. Na is the Representative of the Republic of Korea to UNSCEAR for its 59 th session.
