Dr. Wael Mahmoud Badawy

Dr. Wael Mahmoud Badawy is a researcher in the field of radiation protection and safety of radiation sources in the department of radiation protection at the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority - Nuclear Research Center.

Dr. Badawy holds an MSc in radiation physics from Minoufia University and a PhD in radioecology from Moscow State University. The main fields of scientific interests are radioecological studies, environmental radiation protection, internal and external dosimetry and neutron activation analysis and related analytical techniques.

He is a radiation protection expert and a member of the project on the estimation of a radioecological situation in the Nile River and Nile Delta.

Dr. Badawy has been representative of Egypt to UNSCEAR since 2015 and member of the Egyptian delegation since 2014.
