Ana Maria Hernández
Ms. Ana Maria Hernández has been a Technical Adviser of the Cabinet of the Technical Director for Radiation Protection at the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) since 2014.
Ms. Hernández graduated from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1986 (MSc in Biochemistry) and became a Radiation Protection Specialist in 1990.
Since joining the CSN in 1989, Ms. Hernández has worked in various departments: Radioactive Installations, Occupational Radiation Protection, Personnel Dosimetry, R&D in Radiation Protection and Management System, and Quality Assurance of the regulatory body.
Ms. Hernández was a member of Consultative Committee Euratom-Fission. She has been involved in several European Commission meetings on definition and implementation of the Euratom research and training program, focused on nuclear fission and radiation protection. She was a member of the Group of Experts in Dosimetry of the Directorate General XI of the EU Commission and Spanish representative to the European Study of Occupational Exposure (ESOREX) Commission of the European Union Directorate General IX.
Ms. Hernández has been the representative of Spain since the sixty-fifth session in 2018.
